Gracie Galindo earned her Bachelor’s degree in psychology and began teaching in Special Education in 1993. Gracie continued her education by obtaining a Master’s degree in counseling and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence in 2001. Finally, Gracie completed the Lamar University certification program as an Educational Diagnostician. Gracie has a combined total of over 30 years of experience as a special education teacher, counselor, evaluation specialist, mediator, and attorney. Additionally, Gracie has completed Mediation training and is currently volunteering with several organizations, assisting people to reach compromises instead of allowing their cases to be decided by a judge or jury.
Alex Candelaria (she/her/hers) is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst and licensed Behavior Analyst in the state of Texas with over 7 years of experience providing behavior analytic assessments and services to children and adolescents with autism in various settings. Alex received her Bachelor's degree in applied behavior analysis in 2018 from the University of North Texas and her Master's degree in special education with an emphasis in applied behavior analysis in 2020. Alex is currently pursuing a PhD in special education with a concentration in autism and developmental disabilities at the University of North Texas. She is currently a graduate assistant in the UNT ELEVAR inclusive post-secondary education program, where she teaches courses, conducts research, and supports students with intellectual disabilities.
Minia is a trained and unbiased mediator who can help when disagreements arise between families and the school or school district. Ms. Chadwick has a great deal of experience in working with families and students in obtaining needed services and support. Additionally, Minia is bilingual and has served the Spanish-speaking community in various capacities.
Tina Wentworth earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in education from Laredo State University (now known as Texas A&M International University) and was a public school teacher for 20 years. Tina taught Spanish classes at the high school level and is able to assist families who are more comfortable describing their needs in Spanish.
